Major Caliper Gauges (also known as Plate Thickness Gauges and Dial Caliper Gauges) which are widely used to measure the thickness of steel, rubber, foam, glass, castings, plastic, fibre glass and for checking wall thickness of pipework. The standard Major Caliper Gauges are produced in two ranges which provide a reach of either 150 mm (6") or 254 mm (10"). Both gauge variants are available with dial reading graduations of 0.01 mm or 0.02 mm. 0.01" and 0.001" imperial graduations Both calipers can also be supplied with Digital Dial Clocks if required Major Caliper Gauges offer quick accurate thickness measurement where conventional measuring equipment can not be used, this type of inspection equipment offer a number of advantages which includes :- They are quick and easy to use. Instant readout in metric or imperial. Measuring range 0,50 mm - 0 - 2" 0-125mm - 0-5" is available Accurate to 0.1 of 1 mm Very robust construction Available in 150 mm (6") or 252 mm (10") reach. They are widely used in the steel industries for measuring steel plate as they provide an instant readout and can tolerate hard use.
